Profile
Ali Hammoud is a London-based artist whose creative career spans more than four decades in advertising, design and fine art.
Before dedicating himself fully to painting, he built an international career as a Creative Director, working with some of the world's leading advertising agencies, including Saatchi & Saatchi, Ogilvy, McCann Erickson and BBDO.
Throughout his career, Ali led multidisciplinary creative teams and directed campaigns for internationally recognised brands, including Procter & Gamble, Unilever, Moulinex, leading financial institutions, and numerous regional and global companies.
He collaborated with award-winning photographers, commercial directors, production companies and London's foremost post-production studios, bringing together every element of the creative process to produce campaigns seen by millions of people.
Working at this level shaped the way he thinks. It taught him to see every project as a complete visual experience rather than a collection of individual parts. Whether directing a television commercial, overseeing a major product launch or developing a brand campaign, every decision had to contribute to a single, coherent idea.
That philosophy continues to define his work today. Every painting begins by understanding the space it will inhabit and the people who will experience it. Working closely with architects, interior designers, developers and private collectors, Ali creates original artworks that become an integral part of their surroundings rather than simply decorating them.
His paintings reflect a lifetime of creative observation. Colour, composition, balance and storytelling remain as important to him today as they were throughout his years in advertising. The medium has changed, but the creative process has remained remarkably consistent.
Alongside his studio practice, Ali is also an author, exploring the relationship between art, creativity and human experience.
His work is driven by curiosity, observation and a lifelong belief that every creative discipline enriches the next.
